3 Simple Cost Saving Wedding Tips

There are thousands of tips and tricks to save money on your wedding, but these are

the three I find get you the biggest bang for your buck without cramping your style.

1. Custom invitations:

Invitations are the first thing your guests see about your

wedding, so naturally, you want them to look nice. Invitations can cost a fortune,

which seems a bit absurd when, unfortunately, most of them end up in the trash.

Grab a bottle of wine and invite a few of your closest friends to help you package

invitations and then take them out to brunch to thank them. Places like Vistaprint

offer much more affordable options. Talk to your wedding planner about ways to

create or find custom design templates.

2. Buffet:

Since plated dinners must be plated in advance and served at the same

time, it requires a lot more labor than asking your guests to serve themselves.

Buffet style dinner saves you a good chunk of change because it doesn’t require

you to staff as many people. This also allows your guests to pick and choose

their favorite sides for themselves, making it a win win.

3. Student discount:

When it comes to photographers, videographers, bands and

DJs, try looking into nearby college students or recent graduates. There is so

much talent waiting to be discovered, and chances are you wouldn’t find it by

doing a simple Google search. In most cases, this will allow you to get a

considerable discount in comparison to those who have already made a name for

themselves.
